As a passionate researcher and cultural enthusiast, I have dedicated part of my academic journey to studying the Mahuri—a traditional double-reed wind instrument deeply rooted in Eastern India’s folk music heritage. My research explores the acoustic structure, historical significance, and the modern-day relevance of the Mahuri in both ceremonial and classical music contexts. By blending scientific analysis with cultural documentation, I aim to preserve and promote this rare musical tradition for future generations.
